Before using Glycerolum glycerin suppositories for children, read the instructions carefully, because it contains important information!
What are Glycerolum glycerin suppositories for kids and what do we use them for?
Glycerolum glycerin suppositories for children contain glycerol, which binds water in the intestine and prevents its resorption. This increases the intestinal contents, which stimulates peristalsis and causes emptying. The stool softens at the same time and its excretion is therefore facilitated. Sodium stearate contributes to the laxative effect because it slightly irritates the intestinal mucosa and stimulates peristalsis (bowel movement). Both ingredients also act as a glidant, making it even easier to pass stool.
The laxative effect occurs quickly (within 15 to 45 minutes).
Glycerolum glycerin suppositories for children are used for occasional acute constipation, which can occur due to stress, changes in food or environment, prolonged lying down, sitting, or reduced physical activity. They are also used in postoperative constipation and when soft, painless excretion is needed (for hemorrhoids). Suppositories are intended for short-term and occasional relief of constipation problems that cannot be remedied by a changed diet, increased fluid intake, fiber preparations, or physical activity.
Use them only when there is no bowel movement for several consecutive days.
Glycerolum glycerin suppositories for children are suitable for children and can be used in infants older than 3 months.
