Mallow root tea has many positive effects.
Galex Mallow Root Tea is an herbal tea made from the roots of mallow (Althaeae radix),
Mallow thrives naturally in warmer, wetter habitats, in lowlands, wet meadows and pastures, along hedges and ditches.
Mallow roots contain up to 35% mucilage, which is broken down into glucose and xylose during the hydrolysis process. They are also high in starch, pectin, sucrose, flavone glycosides, amino acids, fatty oil, malic acid, liverwort and phosphorus. Most of the mucilage is found in the root after flowering (autumn and winter). The leaves also contain some essential oil. The mucilage in the flowers and leaves is significantly less (up to 9%).
The mucilages are acid polysaccharides – galacturonoramnans, neutral glucans and neutral arabinogalactans.

Pour 200 ml of cold water over 1 teaspoon (3 g) of mallow root, leave to steep for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, then strain the tea. Drink up to 3 times a day freshly prepared and slightly warmed.
