Sage tea has many positive effects.
The sage’s native range is the Mediterranean, from where it has spread and been domesticated more or less all over the world. The Mediterranean as a whole has been identified as its homeland, since it is no longer possible to determine whether sage originated in southern Europe, such as Italy, Greece, the countries of the former Yugoslavia, Albania or Asia Minor, because of the common history.
The taste and smell of sage is so unique that it is hard to miss. In a few words, the taste could be described as woody, earthy, piney, slightly peppery but fresh, with notes of eucalyptus and mint.
Its aroma brings a warmth and complexity that is hard to match in any other herb.
Sage leaves contain 1 to 2.5% essential oil, which is high in thujone (35 to 60%), bitter substances, chreslovins and flavonoids.

Pour 200 ml of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons (1-2 g) of Sage and leave covered for 10 minutes, then strain the tea. Use the tea up to 3 times a day to rinse the mouth and gargle.
